The Haunted Outhouse
Farmer Brown crept up the moonlight path to the outhouse on the hill. He didn’t want to go, but he had to go.
He closed the door and took a seat.
Pitter titter titter patter.
Farmer Brown shown his flashlight into the corner and spied a spider skittering away.
Something brushed against the edge of the outhouse.
Farmer Brown peeked through a crack and spied something big and white moving just outside of the outhouse.
Wide eyed he stammered, “Ghost!”
He sat and clutched his flashlight and listened to the ghost rustle.
“Moooooooo!”
Wait! Ghosts don’t moo!
Ha ha very funny. Outhouse humor!

Hey Matthew,
I sense you can truly relate to Farmer Brown, after reading about you growing up in Alaska. Your story reminds me of my wildland fire crew assignments out west. Got to love those late night trips to the porta-potties. You made me laugh! Nice job! Thanks.

Growing up in rural Alaska we built our own outhouses. My brothers convinced me this one was haunted and literally tried to scare the crap out of me!

I was trying to decide which of the Halloweensie stories to read, and your title drew me in right away. Well done! And then the line “He didn’t want to go, but he had to go.” Ha ha! Thanks for an entertaining story.
